about
A beautiful collaboration from the minds of Rick Batyr and Dontmesswithjuan . This song was meticulously composed on Rick's Modular synthesizer along with a Moog Grandmother and Hydrasynth. A true DAWless composition, and Rick's first fully modular composed public work.
While Dontmesswithjuan was working on her lyrics for this record, she was visited by this bird, who seemed to enjoy watching her work from the windowsill. After sharing an image of him/her to Rick we decided to name it BOB. The idea of the bird, watching us create, Traveling from home to home, window to window. Watching the lives of humans became a topic of inspiration for this song. We began crafting sounds, ideas, and lyrics based on this concept.
Many of us, are not much different from BOB living in todays social media driven society. Scrolling through glimpses of humans doing things in digital boxes. We hope this song will help you step back from the digital boxes for its duration, Close your eyes put on some headphones and escape.
lyrics
I look for these windows
These windows in time
I know they can come to me, come to me
Make me see, make me see
Before returning in my limbos
Listening blindly
I go after the ringing of the leaves
The ringing of the leaves' chimes
I'll be cruisin' in the shadows
Until the next windows
I'll be cruisin' in the shadows
Until the next windows
I'll be cruisin' in the shadows
Can I fly
Close to you, close to your shelter
If I tune in
If I hear into your eyes
Can I fly
Quietly, into your frame
Can I see a hint from the future
Will you let me sing what I find
Will you let me sing into your mind
Will you let me sing what I find
Will you let me sing into your mind
How can I know
Which window to follow
How can I go
About the human tomorrow
How can I show
When I'm still in the shadows
Why keep singing
When we don't wanna know
How can I know
About the human tomorrow
How can I go
When I'm still in the shadows
How can I show
When we don't wanna know
Why keep singing
Which window to follow
How can I know
Which window to follow
How can I go
About the human tomorrow
How can I show
When I'm still in the shadows
Why keep singing
When we don't wanna know
How can I know
About the human tomorrow
How can I go
When I'm still in the shadows
How can I show
When we don't wanna know
Why keep singing
Which window to follow
Why keep singing
Which window to follow
Which window to follow
Which window to follow
Which window to follow
Which window to follow
Which window to follow
Which window to follow
